About the Logo
In the fall of 2009, the CESU Network National Office announced an open contest to develop a new CESU logo. During the months to follow, the National Office received nearly 100 entries. Of these, the CESU Network Communications Committee selected the best designs. After numerous discussions and minor adjustments, the winning design was selected. The final design was developed by Patricia Pereyra of Florida Atlantic University. The CESU Network Communications Committee would like to formally thank Patricia Pereyra for the submission of her winning design. The national office and the CESU council would also like to acknowledge and thank the numerous other artists who submitted their designs.
About the Artist
Patricia D. Pereyra is a bilingual freelance graphic designer with a background in advertising and marketing. She is an advocate of clear communication in this era of distorted meanings. Her belief in the beauty of simple things translates in her design style: simple, uncluttered, clean, minimal and elegant but with a twist of inspiration.
Her freelance work experience ranges from advertising agencies to publishing companies, architecture firms and universities. Some of her specialties include: university program catalogs, exhibition catalogs, interactive .pdf forms, corporate identity and custom brochures.
She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and moved to the United States to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She has also lived in Wellington, New Zealand, where she pursued a Diploma in Prepress Production from the National College of Design and Technology.
Traveling, foreign languages and other cultures have influenced her greatly.
Patricia D. Pereyra earned a BBA in Marketing/Advertising from Florida Atlantic University, where she graduated Cum Laude. She also earned a BFA in Graphic Design at the same school, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
