2018 CESU Network National Meeting Host

This year's meeting will be held at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Conservation Training Center (NCTC) in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.

Lodging

There are a limited number of on-site overnight lodging rooms on hold, which we will release on a first-come, first-served basis, based on registration date. Do not call NCTC to reserve a room; you must register for the meeting to be added to the lodging list. The overnight lodging rate for NCTC is $139.00, including the NCTC meal plan (beginning with dinner on the day of check-in and ending with lunch on the day of check-out). NCTC also charges a $15.00/day "facility sustainability fee" for all non-USFWS overnight guests.

Directions

The closest airport is Dulles International Airport (IAD). NCTC is two hours from Washington, DC by car. If you would like to try to ride share or carpool to NCTC from Dulles or the DC area, please indicate this on the Rideshare Options form.

The NCTC mailing address is 698 Conservation Way, Shepherdstown, WV 25433. If your GPS or mapping website has a difficult time locating NCTC using the mailing address, use the following physical address to locate the entrance to NCTC: 100 Col. Shepherd Road, Shepherdstown, WV 25443.

There is plenty of free, outdoor parking at NCTC. Additional information about facilities and detailed directions are available below:

NCTC Facilities

Security Check

To get through the security gate at NCTC, meeting attendee names must appear on the registration and security gate list each day. You will be asked to show government-issued photo identification.

Upon arrival the first day, all attendees should check in at the front desk, where they will be given a name tag and directions to the meeting rooms, as well as lodging packet if staying at NCTC.

Food

NCTC has an on-site cafeteria in the Commons Building. Meals are included in the lodging fee (including dinner the night of check-in and breakfast and lunch the day of check-out). Daily commuters may purchase lunch in the cafeteria (either through an ‘all you can eat’ meal card or à la carte).
