From 1999-2005, this website was hosted by the National Park Service (NPS) on its NatureNet web server as a service to the CESU Network's federal and nonfederal partners. The CESU Council is grateful to the NPS for having provided such a valuable service.

In the summer of 2007, the CESU website was redesigned by the web team of the Penn State Institutes of Energy and the Environment (PSIEE) at the Pennsylvania State University. The PSIEE is currently hosting the site and providing website support as a courtesy to the CESU National Network. As such, due to policy, the site is required to have .psu domain name rather than an .org domain name but does mean that it is a Penn State site.
